Indian Creek baptist Bible school
Emerald Crossing, An Irish Adventure through Psalm 23, was the theme for Vacation Bible School at the Indian Creek Baptist Church in Mill Run from June 15-19. The VBS was based on Psalm 23 “The Lord is my Shepherd. I shall not want.” At Emerald Crossing, the students discovered the life of the shepherd-king David and learned how to cross from worry to peace, from fear to faith, and from uncertainty to a firm foundation in God’s Word through a relationship with the Good Shepherd. For a mission project, the children collected coins throughout the week of VBS. The money will be used to buy animals for an impoverished village overseas through Compassion International. Over $800 in coins were collected. Each day an average of over 200 students and helpers enjoyed bible stories, crafts, skits, recreation, snacks, and songs. Parents, relatives, and friends were invited to attend the closing service where the classes presented their program.
