‘Betrayal’: Christian leader slams DHS for using Bible verses to promote ICE tactics

Brennan Chaired Professor of Law, said the Department of Homeland Security using Bible verses to promote ICE tactics is nothing new, noting scripture has long been twisted to justify injustice. He called DHS’s messaging “abhorrent and distorted,” arguing it strips away biblical commands to welcome strangers and instead echoes white supremacist Christian nationalism.
